New Dimensions’ IOP for Depression Can Help!
Depression can be debilitating. It can zap your energy and make it difficult to accomplish even the most basic of tasks. Some of the most common symptoms of depression include depressed mood, loss of interest in activities, tearfulness, feelings of hopelessness and worthlessness, and thoughts of dying. Fortunately, there are effective treatments for depression. For most people, individual therapy, medication, or a combination of both can help alleviate the symptoms of depression. There are times, however, when you may need more help. This is where an IOP for depression helps.
An IOP for depression is often helpful when:
- Weekly individual therapy is not enough.
- Your depression is not getting better.
- You need more intensive treatment.
- You need more support.
- You need more active medication management.
- You are struggling with suicidal thoughts.
- You are having difficulty functioning at work, home, or school.
What to Expect
The IOP for depression at New Dimensions is 5 days per week for approximately 3 hours per day. The program is designed to help you work through the underlying causes of depression and then learn the tools you need to develop a healthier happier life. On average, most individuals attend the program for about 30 days, but this may vary based on your individual circumstances. While in the program, you will work with both therapists and a psychiatrist.
