New Dimensions’ IOP for Anxiety Can Help!

Everyone feels anxious at some point in their lives. In general, anxiety is fleeting and is related to specific situations that you are facing. For example, you might become anxious before interviewing for a new job. Once the interview ends, the anxiety diminishes. There are times, however, when anxiety can become relentless and overwhelming. It is difficult to function if you are in a constant state of fear and worry. Fortunately, there is help. Therapy can help you learn to manage your anxiety and depression so that you don’t live in a constant state of fear. For most people, individual therapy, medication, or a combination of both can help alleviate the symptoms of anxiety. There are times, however, where you may need more help. This is where an IOP for anxiety helps.

An IOP for anxiety is often helpful when:

  • Weekly individual therapy is not enough.
  • Your anxiety is not getting better.
  • You need more intensive treatment.
  • You need more support.
  • You need more active medication management.
  • You are beginning to have panic attacks.
  • You are struggling with suicidal thoughts.
  • You are having difficulty functioning at work, home, or school.

What to Expect

The IOP for anxiety and depression at New Dimensions is 5 days per week for approximately 3 hours per day. The program is designed to help you work through the underlying causes of the anxiety and then learn the tools you need to develop a healthier happier life. On average, most individuals attend the program for about 30 days, but this may vary based on your individual circumstances. While in the program, you will work with both therapists and a psychiatrist.
