An Alternative to Inpatient Psychiatric Hospitalization
For teens in crisis who require more support than traditional outpatient therapy can provide but do not need the level of care associated with inpatient hospitalization, New Dimensions offers a middle ground. Our adolescent partial hospitalization and intensive outpatient programs serve as a possible effective alternative, providing intensive therapeutic services in a less restrictive environment. This model allows teens to remain at home and continue with their daily lives to the extent possible, promoting a sense of normalcy and stability during treatment. It also ensures parents a team of mental health professionals when it comes to making decisions about what is best.
Tailored Adolescent Treatment to Meet Individual Needs
Every teenager is unique, with their own set of challenges, strengths, and goals. At New Dimensions, we tailor our treatment programs to meet the individual needs of each adolescent. Through a combination of individual therapy, group sessions, and family counseling, we address the specific issues your teen is facing. Our multidisciplinary team of mental health professionals works collaboratively to create a comprehensive care plan that promotes healing, growth, and lasting change.
Outpatient Treatment Programs for Teenagers
New Dimensions Day Treatment Centers offer a range of outpatient treatment programs designed to support teenagers facing mental health challenges, substance abuse issues, or co-occurring disorders. Our approach is tailored to meet the unique needs of each teen, providing a pathway to recovery that integrates seamlessly with daily life. Here’s an overview of our IOP, PHP, and dual diagnosis programs.
Intensive Outpatient Programs (IOP)
Our IOPs are ideal for teenagers who require structured support but also need the flexibility to attend school or partake in family and social activities. IOPs typically involve attending treatment sessions for a few hours a day, several days a week. This program focuses on providing adolescents with the skills and strategies to manage their symptoms, improve emotional regulation, and develop healthy coping mechanisms. Through a blend of individual therapy, group sessions, and family involvement, participants gain insights into their behaviors and learn to make positive changes in their lives.
Partial Hospitalization Programs (PHP)
PHPs offer a more intensive level of care than IOPs, designed for teens who need structured support and therapy but do not require 24-hour hospitalization. PHPs often run five days a week for several hours each day, providing a comprehensive approach to treatment. This program includes a variety of therapeutic modalities, such as cognitive-behavioral therapy, family counseling, and experiential therapies, to address the complex needs of adolescents. PHP serves as an effective alternative to inpatient treatment, offering the rigor of a structured therapeutic environment while allowing participants to return home each day.
Dual Diagnosis Treatment Programs
For teenagers experiencing co-occurring disorders — where both mental health and substance abuse issues are present — our dual diagnosis programs provide a specialized, integrated treatment approach. Recognizing the interconnection between these challenges, the program simultaneously addresses mental health and substance use, tailoring treatment to encompass all aspects of the individual’s needs. This comprehensive approach ensures that underlying issues are not overlooked, facilitating a more effective and holistic path to recovery.
