Common Symptoms of Alcohol Withdrawal:

  • Rapid pulse
  • Tremors
  • Insomnia
  • Nausea or vomiting
  • Hallucinations
  • Agitation
  • Anxiety
  • Seizures

Delirium Tremens (DTs) is a withdrawal syndrome occurring in a person who has developed a dependence on alcohol.

Common Symptoms of DTs:

  • Disorientation
  • Inability to focus
  • Memory loss
  • Disturbances in perception and language
  • Shaking
  • Irregular heartbeat
  • Seizures

Alcohol withdrawal can lead to serious medical complications and can result in death if the withdrawal is severe and not medically monitored.
